Wills and Estates

Making a Will

We do not offer do it your self Will kits.

A Will is one the most important documents you will ever sign. After you have died, you won’t be around to correct mistakes or to explain your wishes. You can choose to purchase a do it yourself will kit online for as little as $25 but buyer beware. It is the view of most legal practitioners that a will (even a basic will) should be completed in collaboration with a qualified lawyer experienced in drafting testamentary documents. If your will is found to be defective after your death then your loved ones may incur significant legal costs responding to disputes or claims from beneficiaries.

We offer fixed price basic Wills.

Turbot Legal will prepare your basic Will for $750 (single) or $1,100 (couple).

Risk management tools.

Turbo Legal choses to use our professional indemnity insurer’s risk management tools to ensure that your will is prepared to the standard of a competent legal practitioner.

The use of these tools in our will drafting practice will minimize the likelihood that your Will will be found to be invalid or defective in the event of a legal challenge after your death.
